I've been to hundreds of concerts starting from the mid-seventies so it's really hard to pick any one, or even ten, and say they are the best.

I would have to say that the best show I've seen in more recent times is Heaven and Hell in Cleveland, OH in May 2007. I'm a huge, longtime, Ronnie James Dio fan. I have the greatest admiration and respect for Dio, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler for the excellent music they've given us through the years. When speaking of Sabbath one would have to pay respects to Ozzy as well. However, I'm much more of a Dio fan myself...

The DVD "Heaven & Hell Live at Radio City Music Hall" recorded in New York City during their 2007 tour is a must have for Dio and Sabbath fans.

Another killer performance was the was Death Angel about three or four years back here in Cleveland at the Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles show at The Odeon. I remember how they came out and blew everybody away before Trouble was due to take the stage. Candlemass had done that to Trouble the year before. Great times!!!

I've been to a lot of shows over the years. Probably the best shows I've ever seen were Queensryche in 2003 and Black Sabbath and Pantera in 1999. Other top concerts were the Metallica/Guns N Roses shows in the early 1990's. Saw them in Dallas along with Faith No More.

I have to agree with Black Sabbath and Pantera in 99. That was for sure one of the BEST concerts I have ever seen .I think I was 16 years old and loved Black Sabbath. That is where I got my Sabbath cross necklace that I usually wear. Also, I was not a fan of Pantera before I saw them, but that all changed after seeing Dime live. Pantera blew me away. I was also glad that the Deftones could not play, because in all honesty...I disliked (dislike) them...mucho-Paulo

I've seen so manny shows over tha years ... prolly tha best " ole school metal " was when I saw Krokus . They were on tha bill with Fastway n Def Lepard . Fastway was a good band ! They had a guitarist named " Fast Eddie Clark " go figure , who was quite good ! Even though Def Lepard was tha headlining act , It was their " Pyromania tour " Krokus stole tha show !!! They did like 3 encores and tha crowd was screamin 4 more ! Don't think I've ever really seen a " bad show " ... When I saw Ozzy on his " Shot N Tha Dark " tour it wasn't loud enough 4 me ! But Jake E Lee was a great guitarist ! I think now prolly tha best " live " band is " Floggin Molly " I've seen them a few times n they r by far tha best live band around !!! If u listen 2 their cd u might even turn it off , but 2 c them live is just phenomenal !!! My fav band is Social Distortion , THey put on 1 hell of a show 2 !!! Twisted Sister put on a good show . Dee Snyder crawling out of a man hole cover . They had like 2 old broken down cars n chain link fence with barbwire ... Prettycool !!! Best bass player was definetly tha dude from Iron Maiden ! He pounded that bass ! Maiden puts on a great show ! Best drummer ... Neil Peart of Rush and Tommy Lee of Motley Crue . Best guitarist ... WOW ... I've seen so manny ... mmm Angus Young of ACzDC and Eddie VanHalen . Best front man ... love him or hate him ... David Lee Roth of VanHalen , Vince Neil of Motley Crue , Bon Scott of ACzDC ... If were going on pure vocals ... Sabastian Back of Skid Row ... The most powerful voice ever ! Rob Halford of Judest Preist , great singer , great band !!! Rock on children , peace , ShortDawg
