To me metal means having a great time and something to escape into from the everyday grind of things.It also gives me inspiration with learning the guitar because their are so many great musicians out there

To me, metal gives life an energetic breath of freshness, injects a sense of the fantastic into the mundane, and probably most importantly, helps me get through the work day!

Well have you ever noticed when you listen to not only the sound of the instruments that go to the voice of a man that usually has not had an easy life(trust me I know he's not the only one, a good band knows from experince, all of the members.) well metal to me is lessons learned and learning from each song writer whether its the horrowing sound of the music, or the haunting sound of the singers voice saying just what you could never exactly put into words until that first time you listen to the song.
Metal saves lives, and gives lives.
The last part is just a simpler version.

Metal means first of all the way of living. Metal should be what it's meant to be: long hair, tight jeans, leather, chains, patches etc. You also should be able to hold your liquor... When you're a metallian, you have to be it 100 %, in opposite to nowaday's weekend metal kinds with bad (nu metal) taste you see all around.
Most of all: It's a fucking Paaaaaarty!!!

metal is my life not just playing it but listening to it none of that wimpy hardcore but metal that has feeling to the music , song structure and where all the people in the band are throwin 200% at ya talented musicians but metal is a way of life for me and to tell ya the truth you dont have to look metal be be metal if you play it your metal enough, if you play metal or any genre a true musician will have the upmost respect for other genres

I think metal is a way to express your views on life and the world around you as a musician, either happy or sad, if you're a metal musician you can get your views on the world, to be heard from people.

I think Metal is one of the deepest kinds of music. You can find everything in Metal: Euphoria, psychology, madness, love, hate, sadness, courage etc... And because of that, there are so many sub-genres in Metal: Power, Folk, Viking, Symphonic, Black, Death, Epic, Dark, Pagan, Progressive,.... Metal. Its too difficult for the idiots out there. They can't understand Metal... It is my life, I essentially revolve around Metal.

METAL is not just a style of music , it's a way of life . It means sore neck muscles from endless nights of hairwhips and thrashing .Its a single power chord played thru a loud Marshall stack that rumbles the walls ,and brings a evil grin from ear to ear .Its the ear piercing screams from a kick ass singer , and how you feel the thunder of a big drum and bass in harmony together. What doesn't metal mean to me?
It's so deep, the lyrics twist around you and pull you into a deeper world, a world only seen as dark to the outside because of the depth.

Metal.... In my opinion it is a genre that expresses the true meaning of life... and how life itself is corrupted with many distractions, using figurative language to things that surround us in the world.. it all leads to how government and religion is bullshit... the sound of heavy metal gives one the power to overcome the evil, and gives us energy of hope and power to do good in the world... to all those who know the corna (the devil horns) wich is a hand symbol that means, to keep away evil... Metal to me means power! Especially in the form of empowerment! The feeling i get when I listen to metal, be it Maiden, Helloween, Rhapsody, etc, I feel awesome. The harmonies and power chords are a total buzz! It is truly a gift from the Gods!
I also think of unity: at a live show, when I am with my brothers (and sisters) in metal, we may all be different in our personality, dress, etc, but all with a common bond in metal. Together we have a bond that can not, and WILL not be severed in any way. I have yet to be at a show where I haven't gotten a hi-5, or a handshake from a total stranger there all because we go to rock and escape the trials and worries of our every day lives.
With metal, we remain strong!

Metal to me means experiencing a musical world whose lyrics and rythm is beyond amazing, and experiecing that with other people who also share your same feelings about that type of music is inspiring. Metal...means simpy put ~Awesome!

I'm a hardcore 80s Metal fan, so things like Maiden, Priest, Early Metallica, Megadeath, etc really appeal to me. I just listened to a few of Miles Beyond's songs. They harken back at bands like those yet spin them into something new instrumentally (like Maiden has done with their last three albums, same writing, but for some reasons the instrumentals feel more modern).
Metal to me means hard core rocking! When I want to get my blood pumping I listen to METAL!
