Miles Beyond is an excellent and very talented Power Metal band from Flint, Michigan that is not afraid to break out of the tradition "Power Metal" genre. The song writing on this album is outstanding, structured for hooks without cheese. It works, because I really love this cd! The guitar work is great, incorporating blends of wah funk and groovy riffs into their music to create a fresh and original album that rocks. The production is nice and clean also. "Vlad the Impaler" is a stand-out for me, with a cool intro and Maiden-esque riffs. Power Metal fans should absolutely LOVE this, and most metalheads would probably dig it too.
